One of the best and most versatile Polish guitarists. He was asked to co-operate with eg. Tomasz Stanko, Klaus Doldinger (Passport), Urszula Dudziak, Tomasz Szukalski, Jan "Ptaszyn" Wroblewski, Anna Maria Jopek, Zbigniew Lewandowski, Janusz Muniak, Grazyna Auguscik, Lora Szafran, Artur Dutkiewicz, Ewa Bem, Krystyna Pronko, Krzysztof Scieranski and Henryk Miskiewicz..

Moreover, Marek Napiorkowski is one of the frontmen of Funky Groove, a band playing an electric type of jazz, with which he gives concerts on prestigious Polish and European stages (eg. Jazz Jamboree and Warsaw Summer Jazz Days).

The group's first record ("Funky Groove" 1997, Universal Music Poland) was chosen Record of the Year by the readers of the professional music magazine "Gitara i Bas" ["Guitar and Bass"] and is placed in the Universal Worldwide Jazz Catalogue. For the past couple of years Marek Napiorkowski holds the second place in the Best Guitarist category in the Jazz Top poll of Jazz Forum magazine. Beside his concert career he educates the guitar classes in the most important jazz workshops in Poland (Pulawy, Chodziez, Gdynia, Boleslawiec) and Germany (Leichlingen).
